Step 1: Decide which caliber and barrel length you would like your upper to be. We offer four calibers (5.56 NATO, .300 BLK, 7.62 NATO, and 6.5 Creedmoor) and multiple barrel lengths depending on caliber (8.3" - 22"). We primarily use Ballistic Advantage Hanson and Rosco Bloodline barrels for superb accuracy and long barrel life.
Pin & Weld available for additional $60.
Step 2: Now that we have chosen a barrel, we need an upper receiver to attach all of the remaining components to. We use Aero Precision upper receivers for their well-known reliability and precise specifications.
Step 3: As Sons of Liberty Gun Works calls it... the heart of the system. The bolt carrier group. We only recommend proven, high quality bolt carriers to ensure your upper will always work when you need it to.
Step 4: To operate the bolt carrier group, we need a charging handle. The Radian Raptor has become an industry standard, and for good reason! We use all of their variations on our builds. From the affordable polymer LT to the low-profile SL, including the vented SD line for suppressor use.
Step 5: The handguard covers the barrel and allows mounting of weaponlights, sight systems, grips / handstops, and bipods. We recommend handguards with a solid lock-up to the upper receiver, from reputable companies such as Bravo Company, Midwest Industries, and Geissele.
Step 6: Now for the finishing touch! Muzzle devices give you the option to reduce recoil and send fireballs downrange with a muzzle brake, or remove muzzle flash entirely with a flash hider. We recommend Dead Air for their quality and suppressor compatibility.
